教学目标: 知识目标:

1、了解故事的起因。

2、通过看图说话,初步了解故事的人物、背景和故事大意。



能力目标:

1学习生词,激发阅读兴趣。 2、理解故事大意。

情感目标:

1、通过阅读故事,理解故事寓意,懂得“快乐要与人分享”的道理。 2、培养学生敢于开口说英语的积极性和运用英语进行交际的能力。 教学重点:

词汇:wall,kind,through,no entry,(be)kind to…,knock down 句型:A giant lives in a big house with a beautiful garden.

Children like to play in the garden.

She brings beautiful flowers and birds,but she does not bring any to the giant’s garden.

教学难点:

理解故事寓意。

课前准备:

录音机 磁带 多媒体课件 课时安排: 3 课时

教学过程 教学过程:

I.Pre-task preparations 1.Watch and enjoy

Watch the flash and feel the changing of the seasons. Show the pictures of trees in four seasons.

[设计意图]感受到四季的变换,活跃课堂气氛,引出主题。

2. Think and say

Have the Ss say something about the seasons:activities, weather, food,clothes A: What’s the weather like in …?


B: It’s …

A: What can you do in …? B: I can …

A: Do you like …? Why? B: …

[设计意图]训练学生运用已学语言知识。



II.While-task procedures 1. Ask and answer

Give the Ss a rhyme,have the Ss read and know the three goddnesses of the spring,summer and autumn.

Read and learn:giant Read and learn:castle

[设计意图]念一念儿歌,了解春夏秋三位女神和巨人。 Introduce:the giant and his garden

2. Listen and answer

Have the Ss listen to the tape of part 1, then answer some questions. 1. Who lives in the big house? 2. What do the children like to do? 3. Do the children have a lot of fun? Think and write:Fill the blanks.

[设计意图]学习故事第一段。先听录音,再回答问题,最后完成填空练习。

3. Listen and complete

Give the Ss some key words,then have them listen to the tape. Fill the blanks.

[设计意图]带着关键词what, how, who先听录音,理解大意后完成填空练习。 4. Read and complete

T show two pictures of the garden,then ask some questions. Ss answer these questions and then shows them a passage. Ss read the passage and then fill in the blanks. Learn: No entry.

[设计意图]学习故事第三段,教师与学生问答后出现一段概括性文字学生集体朗读后填空,并理解No entry意思。

5. Listen and number

Play the recoder,have the Ss listen and answer some question. T will sign the answers on the pictures.

After listening,Ss must find out the right orders.

[设计意图]学习故事第四段,学生就图片及问题先进行讨论。听故事录音后给句子排序,以是小组讨论后得出答案。
