PEP8 Unit3 Where did you go? B. let’s try & let’s talk 教学设计
教学目标:
1. 知识和能力目标:能够在情境中恰当运用句型 Where did you go…? How did you go there? What did you do? Did you…? Yes, I/we did. No, I/we didn’t.询问并回答别人在过去的时间里去了哪里,乘坐什么交通工具,做了什么事情等。
2. 情感态度、文化意识、学习策略目标: 了解三亚的风土人情; 能够通过看图捕捉关键信息,并能根据相关提示完成听前预测;鼓励学生旅游开阔视野,读万卷书,行万里路。 教学过程:
Step1. Warm-up and revision
1. Sing a song: tell me about your holiday. 2. Let’s play: Read the words loudly.
3. Lead-in: What are the pictures about? → Holidays and nice trips. Step2. Presentation and practice
1. Miss Qian’s winter holiday (Show 5 Ws and ask Ss to ask questions)
Ss ask following questions randomly: Where did you go? When did you go? How did you go there? Who did you go with? What did you do?
Teacher answers the questions one by one and shows some pictures about her holiday. 2. Let’s try
① Listen and choose: Where did Sarah go? (A. Beijing B. Hangzhou) Who did
Sarah go with? (A. Her parents B. Her friends) Who did Sarah buy gifts for? (A. Amy and John B.Wu Yifan and Amy) ② Check the answers: Show the text and underline the points. ③ Read the text together.
3. Let’s talk (get some information generally)
Watch and answer the questions: Where did Amy go? Who did Amy go with? How did Amy go there?
Check the answers. (listen again and show the key sentences) 4. Enjoy a short video about Sanya.
5. Day 1: They went to Sanya by plane.
Show a map of China , and let Ss know that Sanya is in Hainan while Amy and her family live in Beijing. In winter, the weather in Beijing is cold, but it’s warm in Sanya. And Beijing is far from Sanya, so they went there by plane. 6. Day 2: Amy went swimming and took lots of pictures.
① Guess: Where did Amy go on the second day? Show six pictures of beach,
and teach the word “beach” after guessing. ② Listen and tick: What did Amy do on the beach? → She went swimming and
took lots of pictures. 7. Day 3: Amy played football. Day 4: Amy rode a bike.
Did Amy do anything else?
① Guess: Did she _________? (go shopping, play football, see a film…) ② Look and say: Show the pictures of day3 and day4, ask Ss to say “On the
third/fourth day, she ….” 8. How was Amy’s holiday? Show the pictures of day1-4 ask the Ss to say “It was…” 9. Read along
10. Read sentence by sentence 11. Read in groups of three (2 minutes) Step3. Consolidation and extension
1. Show time: A. challenge reading B. dub (Ss can choose one, and show in
groups of three.) 2. Talk about your holiday or Wu Yifan’s holiday (3 minutes)
A. Talk about your holiday in pairs. B. Talk about Wu Yifan’s holiday in pairs. If they Ss took a trip over their holiday, they can choose A, if they didn’t, they can choose B. Teacher shows some useful expressions on ppt.
3. Enjoy some pictures of beautiful places and encourage Ss to “Read a thousand
book, and travel a thousand miles.” 4. Homework:
① Read p 26 let’s talk 3 times. ② Talk about your holiday with friends.
