Unit 3 weather 第五课时

教学目标：

1. 能够听、说、认读5个描述天气的单词：rainy, snowy, cloudy, sunny, windy; 并能够在语境中正确运用这5个单词描述天气状况。

2. 能够在语境中理解world, Sydney, London, Moscow, Singapore的意思，并能正确发音。 3. 能熟练询问或描述天气情况如: What’s the weather like in Sydney? It’s hot and sunny. Today it’s hot and sunny in Sydney. 学情分析：

进入四年级下学期，学生已经有了一定的知识基础，所学知识也在逐渐加深，扩展。本单元的教学内容与学生的实际生活息息相关，因此，对于学生来说不难理解。只要多创设情景游戏等形式帮助学生理解，教学目标酒会轻松达到。重点：

1.能够听、说、认读5个描述天气的单词：rainy, snowy, cloudy, sunny, windy; 并能够在语境中正确运用这5个单词描述天气状况。

2.能用句型What’s the weather like in ...?和It’s ...询问和回答天气情况。难点：

1.几个重要城市的名称和地理位置。 2.所学句子能在情景中运用。

教学过程:

Step 1. Warm up 1. Free talk

T: How are you today? Ss: I’m fine.Thank you.

T: What’s the weather like today? Is it warm/cool? S: Yes, it is./ No, it isn’t. It’s ...带学生进入英语学习的状态。 2. Lead in

T: Do you like songs? Let’s sing a song about weather. “What’s the weather like today?”教师播放动画,师生一起吟唱歌曲。 Step 2. Presentation

1.词汇教学 rainy, snowy, windy, cloudy, sunny T: Now, listen, (表现出“听”的动作)what’s the weather like?，PPT播放下雨的音频，同时PPT出现下雨的画面，T: Yes, it’s rainy. 出示rainy的单词卡片，教授新单词，并在黑板上张贴单词卡片；

呈现下雪的图片，T:What’s this? It’s snow. Yes, it’s snowy.教师出示单词卡片snowy，教学该单词;

播放大风呼啸的音频和大风吹的画面，刺激学生听觉，T: What’s the weather like? Listen. It’s windy.教授新单词windy；

呈现多云的图片，学习单词cloudy; 呈现晴朗的图片, 学习单词rainy.

总结五个单词都以y结尾，教读单词时注意引导学生按音节读单词。 2.单词转盘游戏，听音选单词。 3.呈现Let’s learn图片，分析图片，介绍人物与事情。T: John’s father is going on a business trip. He will go to four cities. Let’s see where he will go. 图片介绍约翰爸爸去的四个城市，London,

Moscow, Singapore, Sydney. 学习四个城市名称。 4.学习图片对话，让学生跟读对话。 Step 3 Activities and practice

1.T: John’s parents are listening to the weather report. Let’s see what’s the weather like in the cities. 引导学生用句型It’s ... and ... in ...来依次描叙五个城市的天气。 It’s rainy and cool in London. It’s snowy and cold in Moscow. It’s windy and warm in Beijing. It’s cloudy and warm in Singapore. It’s sunny and hot in Sydney

学生自由朗读上述五个句子。

2.T: Do you want to be a weather reporter? Now, I will give you a chance. Just try. OK?鼓励学生大胆尝试，让学生跟着幻灯片在天气预报的音乐背景下报道天气，体验天气预报员这一职业。 3.Let’s play

图片呈现城市的天气图片，教师拿单词卡片并用句型It's...in...来描叙该城市的天气情况，请学生用句子Yes, it is./ No, it isn't. It's...now.来进行判断。 Step 4 Homework
