Talking about my English teacher

Having study at school for more than ten years, I've met a lot of teachers. Each has his or her own strong points. But the one who has a great influence on me is my English teacher Miss xia. She is about twenty five years old. She is very smart and always with sweet smile. She is friendly to every student; all students get on well with her. And she is humorous; we are all active in her classes. Her class is always interesting; we all have a lot of fun in her classes. But it doesn't mean that she is not care about our study and homework. She is also strict, every time, she checks our homework very carefully, and makes us understand everything in the class. She teaches us a lot. She also has her own way in teaching, which aims at improving our ability of self study. She tries to make us understand that the only one who can help us is ourselves! She asks us to do the questions ourselves first, if there's really something seems hard for us, we can ask her for help! And she leads us to be an honest person. She told us that a person who is honest can get help from many friends while the person on other hand will be forgotten by the people who used to know him!

She deserves our adoration and respect, I think she is an ideal teacher, an ideal English teacher. In my mind, an ideal English teacher should have correct pronunciation and intonation. When we learn a language, we hear it mostly from our teachers. If the teacher is not correct in her pronunciation and intonation [ˌɪntəˈneɪʃən,-təʊ-] , how can she expect her students to be right? Second, an ideal English teacher should be fluent in her spoken English. She must be able to express herself well in English. Third, the teacher should have a good command of both the English language and his mother tongue. She should be clearly aware of the differences between the two languages and the two cultures. Moreover, an ideal English teacher should have a strong sense of attraction so that she can keep his class’s attention. Finally, an ideal English teacher should know the art of teaching, be able to motivate her students to study and equip them with the correct way of learning English. Miss xia is just the ideal English teacher in my mind.
