为什么学英语及英语的由来

英语是众多发达国家使用的语言，所以，学习英语是很重要的。

今天，让我不但懂得了终身学习英语的必要，而且也让我更清楚、清醒地进一步

知道了为什么要学习英语了:为了自己能正确掌握和使用这门世界性的语言，为

了自己不被讲英语的人的欺骗～不为别人，为了自己能正确使用英语，只有学好

了为自己所用，之后才能把所学服务于他人;为了自己能对英语的正确应用、使

用，而不被使用英语交流的人欺骗。

英语是在特定的地理和历史环境中，经过一系列民族迁移与征服的过程所形成 的。公元前500年，凯尔特人进犯并占领了不列颠诸岛。凯尔特语是有史料依据

所发现的不列颠诸岛上最早的语言，这种语言当今还为苏格兰北部、西部山地民

族使用。

公元449年，居住在丹麦附近的三个日耳曼部族盎格鲁人(Angles)、撒克逊人 (Saxons)、朱特人(Jutes)侵犯不列颠，经过长达一个半世纪的征服过程，几乎灭
