Course Introduction:

As a general history course, medieval civilization and Song poetry focused on deep research on poets and their works in Tang and Song dynasties. Through learning this course, students should handle the development vein and law of Tang-Song Ci, so they can bulid a firm foundation of studying Tang-Song Ci in a much wider historical and cultural view.

We do not advocate mechanical recitation, students are required to acquaint with famous poets and their masterpiece based on understanding. What is more, we emphasis a lot on students’ grasping of creativity contained in famous works, it is an indispensable way to develop scientific view about tang-song ci, and also it is a way to learn the important role which tang-song ci plays in Chinese ancient literature.



Course Assessment:

Final Marks= Final Examination Marks*100%

The final examination will be held by the way ofopen-book examination.
